A man is attacked by more than 50 angry seals. Seriously the coastguard had to rescue him and everything.
Are you kidding me? I just learned what to do during a bear attack. Now I have to worry about seals! This is a solid 4 out of 5 on the Doomsday Meter. No one is safe. Lions, tigers, and seals oh my.
Japan’s Coast Guard is performing a search and rescue mission after the uninhabited islet of Esanbehanakitakojima has completely vanished without so much as a goodbye. Elders in the nearby village of Sarufutsu confirm that there once was an island in the vicinity but is no longer visible. It still appears on naval navigation systems according to local fisherman.
